Captain Robert Malouin (USCG Certified) has over 20 years of hunting and fishing experience in Rhode Island. Born in RI, Bob's father introduced him to hunting ducks and deer at a young age. Since then, he has been involved in the outdoor community in many ways. To name a few, he has taught fly tying classes for RI DEM, he was secretary of RI NWTF, and currently belongs to Narragansett Bowhunter's Club. In Maine, he has spent many seasons pursuing ducks, grouse, snowshoe rabbit, bear, and moose under the tutelage of licensed Maine guides. Embracing old school techniques while welcoming new ideas and strategies is an embodiment of his hunting style.
Teaching kids and welcoming newcomers to the waterfowl hunting world is very important to Bob. He understands and advocates for safe hunting practices and ethics at all times. While he loves to shoot birds as much as anyone and will work hard to ensure that you get the opportunity, he knows to take the time to enjoy the natural beauty of Rhode Island's shorelines.
Bob is currently a commercial fisherman with a deep understanding of the Narragansett Bay and Block Island Sound, as well as many of their tidal areas. He has worked as a mate and part time captain on several local charter fishing boats over the last 9 years. Time on the water means more time to understand waterfowl behavior and movement leading up to and during the waterfowl season.
